CA – Industry Insider – CALPERs hangs onto gun stocks
HANFORD SENTINEL.COM April 27, 2018 – No one at last month’s meeting of the Board of Administrators of the California Public Employees Retirement System ever said money counts for more than lives, but there were serious questions about priorities after that board voted 9-3 to hang onto its stash of stocks in gun retailers. “We obviously have a significant (assault weapon) problem in this country,” said (Board Member Bill) Slaton. “We have found engagement is a better alternative in order for us to accomplish something in this area.” [full article]
