CA – Retailers – SF forces gun suppliers to agree to halt sale of high-capacity kits

SF GATE.COM May 16, 2017 – Five online gun suppliers have agreed to halt their California sales of “repair kits” that buyers can assemble into high-capacity magazines outlawed by the state, San Francisco City Attorney Dennis Herrera said Tuesday. Herrera sued the companies in February, accusing them of violating California laws prohibiting the sale of gun magazines that can hold more than 10 rounds. He said Tuesday the companies have agreed to a 10-year settlement that forbids them to sell or advertise the repair kits in California and requires them to notify customers on their websites that the kits and the large-capacity magazines are illegal in the state.  [full article] 17May17 GunParts
