A series of new firearm laws will go into effect in Texas next month — further loosening gun restrictions in a state that’s had four of the 10 deadliest mass shootings in modern US history. The laws — passed before a gunman massacred 22 people and injured dozens in El Paso last weekend — will make it easier to have guns in a state with some of the most lax weapons restrictions in…

SC – HUNTING – Response to South Carolina Deer Urine Ban…

The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources released a new hunting rule last week banning urine-based scents, taking away an important hunting tool used by many successful hunters every year.

Unfortunately, there is a lot of false and misleading information driving policy and regulations regarding urine-based scents being a risk for spreading CWD.  The impact of banning these products on hunters and businesses, both small and large…

IN – SHOOTING SPORTS – Guns, Not Politics: Shooting Sports Look To High Schools For Growth

Ally Fulp and Levi Dotson live down the street from each other, and compete all the time. They’re in Levi’s yard, shooting at the clay targets Fulp’s dad sends whipping through the air. The sound of gunfire isn’t uncommon here. The two high schoolers have been target shooting for years. NAT’L – SHOOTING SPORTS – Trap Shooting With Pastors

There were a dozen of us in that small beige room in Morton, Illinois. We were in a stone building, which sat just beyond the Walmart, where the town diffuses into farmland. If KTBS told you that a particular youth sport has increased participation by over 135 percent in the last few years, would you be able to say what sport it is? PA – SHOOTING SPORTS – Pennsylvania’s wild bunch spend weekends shooting guns in Cowboy garb

Something’s a bit off about Tom Payne, a rancher who laid down his badge to reap the easy life out West. He’s got the look down — leather boots, chaps, even the old, reliable Winchester rifle — but when Payne speaks, he sounds a lot more like Tom Colaluca, a guy who’s barely a hundred miles west of the Bronx. Turns out this cowboy had rustled up…

Examination of these two sets of…

You can replace parts, attach accessories and paint it to make it your own. Gun advocates call it the Lego or…
