A Louisiana State Representative pushes for new legislation on the state’s concealed carry law. The legislation would allow citizens to carry a concealed handgun on them, without needing a permit or firearms safety classes. Some lawmakers are hoping to jump on board with eighteen other states with “constitutional carry” laws in their books.

In a third round of arrests since June of last year, ten more members and associates of the Bully Gang, including both a current and a former New York City correction officer, were arrested early Thursday by federal and city investigators, prosecutors said.

His name was USMC Sergeant Carlos Norman Hathcock II, and he was the greatest Marine sniper of all time. Two tours in Vietnam, 93 confirmed kills and countless acts of bravery. Reportedly, he was an incredible woodsman with unmatched patience, traits that served him well in the jungles of Vietnam.

Following a year of frequent armed protests, some of which turned violent, the Washington Senate voted Thursday to ban the open carry of firearms at the state Capitol and within 250 feet of permitted demonstrations anywhere in the state. The mostly party line vote was 28 to 20.

New measures being proposed by the federal government to Canada’s Firearms Act and the Criminal Code are a disappointment, says a spokesperson for a number of victims of the Danforth Shooting.

John Carney is backing legislation that would allow a judge to bar someone from owning a gun if a mental health worker tells police the person is dangerous to themselves or others. The bill, which legislators introduced Tuesday, will be named the Beau Biden Gun Violence Prevention Act and mirror a failed legislation that was proposed by the late former attorney general, according to the governor’s office.
