Tuesday, May 29, 2018 – It was just a matter of time before David Hogg, the liberal Parkland anti-gun protester, let his ego get the best of him. In an effort to force-feed his bullhorn rhetoric during a “die-in” at an NRA-supporting grocery chain by convincing his juvenile cohorts to lay on the floor of the store and disrupt the store’s shoppers, Publix, a store with a record of donating large sums of money to both liberal Democrat and conservative Republican political candidates, made the decision to halt any further contributions to either side embroiled in the gun debate. In the process not only will Publix cut donations to NRA causes but to as many as two dozen of the anti-NRA Democratic candidates for office, as well. It turns out that Publix had also donated to Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders in 2016 and to Barack Obama’s candidacy in 2008.
What this proves is that Hogg and his fellow teeners lack the political sophistication for their solo undertakings and need all the help they can get from the establishment gun control groups like Everytown’s Demanding Moms, Giffords, and Brady. It’s easy to imagine their chagrin at Hogg’s continuous going off script. Other “victims” of Hogg’s political obesity: former Democratic National Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Senators Michael Bennett (CO), Richard Durbin (IL), Kirsten Killibrand (NY), Amy Klobuchar (MN), Patty Murray (WA), Bill Nelson (FL), Ron Wyden (OR) and the Black Congressional Caucus.
