LA – HUNTING – Need a hunting license? Louisiana residents 16 and older can now take the required course online

Louisiana residents 16 and older who want a basic hunting license can now earn their required certification completely online. The online-only option will not be available to anyone under 16, the state Wildlife and Fisheries Department says. Under the new process, there is no additional field day required for those who qualify and who successfully complete Louisiana’s approved online course, which can be found at hunter-ed.com/louisiana. The course fee is $19.95. Those who complete the online course will receive their hunter education credentials digitally. The traditional classroom course, open to residents 10 and older, will continue to be offered. Applicants 10-15 years old will still be required to complete a field day. Anyone 16 or older has the option of taking the field day, though it will no longer be required. There is no cost for the classroom or field day courses.  [full article]
