Takeover State Liberals Only Mimic Each Other For Gun Control

Lacking an original idea in their bodies, once red states like Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Colorado and New Mexico, plus parts of western Montana and southern Utah have difficulty being creative enough to churn up something thoughtful in their pursuit of gun control. Only Arizona, Wyoming, Idaho, Utah and Alaska are exceptionally red. It’s no secret that the once all-conservative 12 western states – and, yes, that included California in the Reagan, Deukmejian, Wilson, and even Schwarzenegger era – have surrendered their state legislatures to liberalism, and that includes dealing with the subject of guns.

Strategically, that allowed the gun control nuts to push off on the citizens of those blue states who don’t know anything about guns – much less own any – lots of propaganda on letting their blue leaders keep the poor unwashed urban and suburban dwellers scared to death even while criminals and  misdemeanor law-breakers continue to walk the streets unfettered. To liberals, that’s money in the bank.  And votes.  Lots of votes.

The uneducated (about guns) populace are continuously fed the food of fools. Ignorance. Liberals count on that and it’s worked to extremes.  Such as when taxes take a bigger chunk of their income and the indigent population come to rely on handouts instead of job opportunities, and 5 o’clock on the I-405 in L.A. becomes daily gridlock that takes up 4 or more hours every day just to get to work and back to home. That’s when you’ve got the great unwashed at the anti-gun liberals’ mercy.

We’ll give kudos here to California’s newest wonder-boy governor, Gavin Newsom, for at least being creative by wanting to tax ammo and force ammo buyers to undergo a separate background check despite having done that already when they bought a gun, but that’s as far as we’ll go. He’ll likely find a way to run the state into the ground with more taxes that will force people to move elsewhere.  Like, say conservative eastern Oregon, eastern Washington, eastern California, southern Colorado, northern Utah, and eastern Montana, all places where liberals have ruined those states with their itinerant presence and baby blue politics.

Want proof?  Colorado, which has turned blue in the face, hasn’t had a Republican governor since Bill Owens was elected in 1999 and is now politically anti-gun. Even prior Democrats were more conservative-leaning than the contemporary crop. Nevada, having been conquered by displaced liberal Californians, just elected their first Democrat governor in almost 30 years and his first shout-out is, of course, gun control and he says he’ll pursue tougher gun laws as his top priority:  ban assault weapons, silencers and bump stocks, enhanced background checks, increase the age limit for gun purchases from 18 to 21, and “red flag” laws which lead to confiscation. How original. And he’ll no doubt add safe gun storage a la Washington state’s recently passed initiative 1639.

The initiative system has been adopted by gun controllers as the sword of choice used to cut out not criminals but law-abiding citizens who own guns.  Liberals rely on false and disruptive advertising and their blue media pals to spread the message of “gun safety.” Those are buzz words, just like “gun violence prevention.” Who wouldn’t want those?

But in eastern Washington where the local police chief refuses to abide by enforcing the tenets of I-1639 – to the aghast display of emotions from satellite Seattleites – the initiative process could be used to thwart the measure’s anti-gun majority. That is to say, let those urbanites who believe that police politics will save them from criminals have their way without dumping that putrid fodder on rural voters who lack the population edge to overcome Washington state big money sugar daddies like the late Paul Allen, Bill Gates or Jeff Bezos. In other words, let western Washington continue to coddle criminals but not eastern Washington which has little say about who is really running – or ruining – their lives.

We all witnessed the Senate Judiciary Committee’s attempted hanging of now Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.  We remember the vitriol spittle from the mouths of Blumenthal, Klobuchar, “innocent” Diane Feinstein, Hirono, Durbin, Leahy, Whitehouse and especially “Spartacus” Booker. Sinking to even the lowest level of toilet liberalism, their efforts were dashed.  Why?  Because they all say and want the same things for gun control: universal background checks, ammo magazine limits, gun buy age limits, semi-auto rifle bans, confiscation without due process and keeping guns locked up where those that own them can’t get to them in an emergency. Same old song and dance we’ve heard for decades from the same old duffs and jitterbuggers.

As smart as they think they are, our liberal lawmakers have revealed themselves as nothing more than copycat puppets. The safest haven for gun owners is the Supreme Court.  Sooner or later, they’ll have to deal with the tsunami of ridiculous gun laws and proposals and, thanks to language challenged Donald Trump, he didn’t flinch when he said “conservative Supreme Court Justices.”
