TN – GUN CRIME – 665 guns stolen from Nashville vehicles so far in 2020

The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) reports another 71 vehicles were stolen last week along with 24 guns stolen from vehicles. From November 8 through November 14, police say 45 of the 71 stolen vehicles were easy targets because the keys were left inside or available to thieves. 6 of the 71 vehicles were left running with no driver present. In addition, 24 guns were stolen from vehicles during this time period, 7 of the thefts coming from unlocked vehicles. In total, Nashville has seen 665 guns stolen from vehicles this year. 747 guns were stolen from Nashville vehicles in 2019. MNPD urges drivers to lock their vehicles and remove belongings, including guns.  [view source]
